On Camera
Swallowcam
Swallows are summer visitors to Britain, returning to breed between the months of April – September. During the cold winter months they fly thousands of miles south to warmer climates.
The viewing screen is located inside the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre, an ideal place to escape the weather, find out about local wildlife sightings and watch our swallow family while you have a coffee or light refreshments.
Hen Harriers
The Park is home to ones of the UK’s rarest breeding birds, the Hen Harrier. Our Countryside Rangers are specially licensed by Scottish National Heritage (SNH) to monitor breeding activity and install a live camera in their nest. The nest camera can be viewed LIVE at Muirshiel Visitor Centre during the breeding season.
