The Park has cycle routes to suit all abilities from off road trails to quiet lane routes.

Bike Hire is available at Castle Semple.

Instructors can deliver ‘Go Mt Bike’ skills.

There are off road Sustrans managed routes around part of the Regional Park.

Where:
RT Cycles operates at Castle Semple
When:
Every weekend, public and school holiday during the summer and by arrangement at other times.
What:
There is a good selection of mountain bikes, comfort bikes, tandems, childrens bikes, tag-a-longs and trailers for hire as well as a good selection of items to purchase for repairs. Cycle helmets are provided with all hires.

Go Mountain Bike

Go Mountain Bike is a nationally recognized mountain bike proficiency course. The course covers 4 themes – riding skills; first aid; being independent and self supporting and sharing the outdoors. There are 5 levels of proficiency across these 4 themes.
Candidates can mix and match the themes and levels according to their interest. The principle aim of the scheme is to support individuals to develop the skills to make independent journeys into the outdoors.

Sustrans

Is the UK’s leading sustainable transport charity. Castle Semple Visitor Centre and Lunderston Bay are located on ‘off road’ Sustrans managed routes providing cleaner, greener and healthier access to the Regional Park.
