Access for All
All Visitor Centres have disabled parking spaces, level access points, disabled toilets a wheelchair on site for use by our customers.
Mobility scooters are available at the Greenock Cut Visitor Centre.
Path networks are being upgraded to make them accessible to more visitors. The lochshore track at Castle Semple for example or the 6.5km Greenock Cut trail are wheelchair friendly. More benches and resting places are being installed along popular walking routes.
Outdoor equipment at Castle Semple Centre is especially suitable for those with special needs. The Centre is the first RYA ‘Sailability’ Centre of Excellence in Scotland, meaning it is fully equipped with specialised sailing equipment, experienced staff and facilities to easily accommodate people with a range of disabilities.

There is a wheelchair accessible powerboat to enable trips on Castle Semple Loch, kayaking and cycling are also possible depending on the individual. Please tel 01505 842 882 Ex 21 to discuss the options.
The campsite at Barnbrock has two wooden shielings with wide enough doors to allow
wheelchair access, the group use facilities block has a wheelchair friendly toilet and shower room.
The Adventure Playground at Lunderston Bay is accessible to all.
Events such as pond dipping and ‘paths to health’ or ‘feeling fitter’ walks are generally suitable for all.
