Walking
There are signposted countryside trails and hill walk routes throughout the park that vary in length from 500m (20 Mins) to 5km (1.5 hour). The Renfrewshire Walking Network aims to get everyone feeling fitter by walking. Walks are led by Paths to Health walk leaders and our Countryside Rangers Service.

Cycling
Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park offers cycle routes to suit all abilities from offroad trails to quiet lane routes. We are gathering information on where and how often people cycle within the Regional Park and what developments you would like to see in the future.

Outdoor Activities
The Park provides land based, RYA sailing and powerboat courses, along with BCU paddle sport courses and lots of different types of group taster sessions mostly at Castle Semple Loch and in nearby Parkhill Wood .

Wildlife
Clyde Muirshiel is home to one of the UK’s rarest breeding birds – the Hen Harrier. The Regional Park’s moorland landscape offers nest sites for this spectacular bird, as well as places for it to hunt small birds and field voles.

Our campsite is based at Barnbrock Farm, near Lochwinnoch. An attractive countryside campsite with basic facilities where you can unwind, enjoy the peaceful countryside and listen to the Locher burn meandering past.
