Park Sites

The Regional Park covers a large area. From Greenock in the north, down the coast to Largs and West Kilbride and inland to Dalry and Lochwinnoch.

Within the Regional Park there are

• 3 main Visitor Centres (Castle Semple, Cornalees, Muirshiel)
• 2 Country Parks (Castle Semple, Muirshiel)
• an outdoor activity centre (Castle Semple)
• Boat and Bike Hire Facilities (Castle Semple)
• a campsite (Barnbrock)
• a sandy beach (Lunderston)
• community woodlands (Locherwood, Outerwards)
• historic features (Greenock Cut, Collegiate Church)
• and numerous other sites with car parking for visitors to enjoy picnics, good views, wildlife, walks and cycles (Haylie Brae, Knockendon)

The bus routes and train lines (www.firstscotrail.co.uk) that skirt round the Regional Park provide lots of opportunities to do a linear or circular walk or cycle to a Park Site, you could even leave the car at home for a change.
