A popular place for dog walkers, enjoying the fine views to the Arrochar Alps, Ben Lomond and the Clyde Valley through mixed woodland. It is the source of the Locher Water – trails can be muddy.
Longer trails go into Ladymuir Plantation and on to the rough and often boggy access route to Windy Hill and Muirshiel Visitor Centre and Country Park.
Look out for wildlife such as roe deer, black and red grouse.
