Description:

View from DalryFairlie Moor RoadThe smallest road across the Regional Park – it’s single track with passing places. It goes between Dalry and Fairlie. Be careful as you admire the fantastic countryside views on a clear day or stop for a picnic. Optional stopping space at Knockingdon for a picnic or walk to the Reservoir.


Walks:

Click here for details of way marked walks around Dalry and up Baidland Hill (336m) a good local vantage point for views down the valley and to the coastal towns for Irvine and Troon. There are now 6 wind turbines in operation.

Ways 2 Walk in North Ayrshire run a walks programme. Leisurely walks take place in and around Kilwinning on Wednesday mornings.


Cycles:

The single track road is great on a bike but do watch out for tight corners and other vehicles.

Road

From Dalry take the B780 south for 1 mile and turn right just after the cemetery into Wingfaulds Road.

Train

Dalry Station on Glasgow Central to Ardrossan railway line, walk to Baidland Hill and other shorter walks are signposted from The Cross. - www.firstscotrail.co.uk
