Clyde Muishiel Regional Park Ranger ServiceOur Countryside Rangers work in four teams throughout the 108 square miles of Regional Park in Renfrewshire, Inverclyde and North Ayrshire undertaking conservation activities & providing many education opportunities.

EDUCATION

The Rangers aim to ensure you have an enjoyable and informed visit to the countryside. This is done in pond at Muirshielmany educational ways. For example they provide information on walks, wildlife and heritage, host events and activities, co-ordinate volunteer opportunities and supporting the 5 – 14 environmental curriculum with school visits.

CONSERVATION

Along with the Countryside Officer, Rangers liaise with landowners and monitor species and habitats. The Countryside Team, based at Barnbrock, work specifically on the conservation activities including Geographic Information System (GIS), wildlife recording system, woodland plans, moorland management and water quality monitoring. Along with the Rangers they contribute to local biodiversity action plans (LBAP), outdoor access and project development proposals.
