Clyde Muirshiel Tough Mudder Hopefuls
Nerves, for some of the staff at Clyde Muirshiel, are starting to get jittery. Why? Do you ask? Well it’s because in 7 days time 4 of them will be pitting their minds and bodies against a feat that is advertised as probably the toughest challenge on the planet, the Tough Mudder. The 4 staff members are Outdoor Activity Instuctors Ross, Neil & Andy along with Countryside Ranger Hayley, who are all based at Castle Semple.
On the 15th of July at 0800 the team, known as Three Men & a Ranger, will carry out an 11 mile mud run and assualt course where they will have to face obstacles which will see them swimming through ice, running through fire and recieving electric shocks up to 10,000 volts. The event will take place at Drumlanrig Castle and will really test our guys stamina, mental grit and camaraderie. You may think they are all crazy and they are starting to ask that question of themselves but there is an added incentive for the team - they will be raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust. TCT is one of the charities which is supported locally in Lochwinnoch where Castle Semple is based.
