New Whooper Swan at Castle Semple
There was real excitement this morning when we saw another whooper swan with our resident male whooper swan. She is a female and our resident male is getting very excited and displaying to all the other mute swans at the loch.
Whooper swan tend to migrate back to Iceland in the spring, usually april time. This particular swan could be injured, late in migration or not capable of the full migration.
