Supporting the Beatson Caledonian Challenge
Following on from the extremely successful 10in2010 challenge, Gordon McIntosh, David Cowan, Fraser Hamilton, Richard Gowen, Gillian Bruce and David Hill (Senior instructor at Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park’s Castle Semple Centre) are going to attempt to get from Inverness to Glasgow… but… Instead of a car… They’ll be Kayaking from Inverness to Fort William, and then cycling from Fort William to Glasgow between 23rd-26th June 2012!
The Regional Park is proud to support employee David and the whole team on this epic journey, with all funds in aid of the Beaston Institute for Cancer Research. David has been giving the rest of the team some training and endurance practice on Castle Semple Loch in preparation for the challenge. The Park is delighted to be supplying the team with kayaks.
You can check out how they are getting on by visiting their training blog here or by following them on twitter – @2012BCC.
The guys have their own Just Giving site too where donations to the cause are most welcome to help them achieve the £10,000 target.
Not long to go until the challenge begins… the best of luck to all of the team!
